ATO Obligations during April and May

While the ATO have expressed their willingness to assist tax agents and SME businesses during this difficult time, there are still obligations which need to be met including:

• March quarter superannuation, due by 28^th April (no extension possible). If not paid on time, no deduction for the cost is allowable;
• March quarter BAS, due by 28^th April if you lodge, 26^th May if we lodge;
• If on monthly wages reporting cycle, April IAS due by 21^st May;
• March quarter PAYGI, can be varied where it is reasonable to expect your 2020 tax liability will be lower due to current trading conditions, otherwise payable by 28th April.
